Wife of John L. Likens, they married April 15, 2003, in Topeka, Kansas. He survives.
She grew up in the Wamego area and graduated from Wamego High School in 1944. She moved to Quenemo in 1956. She was City Clerk for Quenemo for many years, owned and operated the Quenemo Pool Hall for six years with her husband.
Other survivors include: a son, Ben Likens, Tooele, Utah; four daughters, Janet Pruett, Topeka, Pat McGonigle, Vassar, Claudia Hillmon, Osage City and Sarah Fine, Quenemo; three sisters, Beryl Dodson, San Antonio, Texas, Velda Kelsey, Kansas City and June Wilkerson, Lakeside, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by: three brothers, Wesley Simon, Gale Simon and Ben Simon; and a sister, Carol Gruhle.
