Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.

SIXTY FOUR year old banjoist Leo Aberle last week celebrated his fifth anniversary of performing at Shakey's East, 3553 E. Washington Ave. Aberle and his pianist partner, Jim Godfriaux, perform Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at the pizza "stube." Ray Fallon singles on the piano Wednesdays and Thursdays at the nightspot which caters to singles, couples or the whole family.
Aberle has been a musician since he began playing a Madison neighbor's mandolin when he was only 13; went on to teach music to millionaire's kids, including Florenz Ziegfield's daughter and the then young heir, George Vanderbuilt, in Palm Beach, FL.
The professional banjo picker is a veteran of the Thompson Orchestras, an organization of 16 bands popular in the midwest and on the University of Wisconsin campus in the 1920s.
