D. W. Morris, 45, insurance agent for Life of Georgia, died suddenly at 8 a.m. today in the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of George A. Smith And Sons with Rev. Tom Lewis, Rev. J. T. Drace and Rev. John Gunter officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery. Mr. Morris was born and reared in Chester County, son of the late Houston and Dovie Newman Morris. He attended the Chester County Schools. For the past 25 years he had lived in Jackson and had been associated with the National Life & Casualty Insurance Company and the Standard Coffee Company prior to his employment with the Life of Georgia Insurance Company. He was a member of the Madison Baptist Church. He was married Oct. 19, 1946 to the former Lucille Organ of Carroll County.
