Jospeh H. Stewart, 79, of 1122 Roseview Ave., died at the Methodist Hospital, Peoria on Saturday. He was born in Clinton, MO on Oct. 20, 1889, the son of Henry and Tiny Young Stewart. He married Lydia Richardson on Sept. 6, 1958 in Kewanee.
Surviving are the wife; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Helen) Graham of Kewanee and Mrs. Herbert (Lois) Goossens of Annawan, IL, three step children, Earl Driun of Minnespolis, Minn., James Druin of San Gabriel, Calif. and Mrs. Frank (Helen) Polasky of Kewanee; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, George of Ottawa, Kan, five sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Bertha) Sauter of Garden Grove, Calif., Mrs. Andrew (Bessie) Smith of Bartonville, Mrs. Stella Heitt of Bloomington, Mrs. Blanche Smith of Pekin, and Mrs. Gertrude McSwain of Phoenix, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, one son, one brother and one sister.
