Frank A. VanZile, 76, of Cedar Creek township, Allen county, died Sunday at 9:30 p. m. in the Greenwood convalescent home, 500 East King street, Garrett, of pneumonia. He had been a patient there for four months.
The body was taken to the Walter funeral home in Spencerville and it will be removed today to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Orpha Akey of Grabill.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the daughter's residence, Rev. L. I. Sommer officiating. Burial will be made in White City cemetery, Spencerville.
Mr. VanZile was a retired farmer and a member of the Methodist church at Leo. His wife, Mary, died in 1937.
Survivors include two sons, Jay of Auburn and Earl of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Soule of Fort Wayne and Mrs. Akey; eight grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
