Abram B. E. Adams, 82, of Rapids City, died last night in Illini Hospital. Services will be at 2 Thursday afternoon in Dailey Mortuary, Port Byron, with Rev. Charles L. Hollis of Moline Gospel Temple officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Port Byron. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow at the funeral home. Mr. Adams was born in Rapids City, the son of A. E. E. and Sarah Rowe Adams. He married Irene Halewood in January, 1920. She preceded him in death. Prior to his retirement. Mr. Adams was a painter at the Rock Island Arsenal. A veteran of World War I, he also was a charter member of Coe-Lamb American Legion Post, Port Byron. Survivors include a son, Robert of Rapids City; two daughters, Mrs. George Powell of Rapids City, and Mrs. Inez Fackling of Monrovia, Calif.; seven grandsons and one great-grandson, and a sister, Mrs. Estella McLaughlin of Moline.
