Obituary from "Ottumwa Courier," September 2, 1929:

Mrs. Myrtle Parker, a former Ottumwa resident, died Friday evening in Battle Creek, Mich., according to word received by local residents. She is survived by her husband, Fred Parker; one son, Henry Parker of Battle Creek; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Edmunds of Ottumwa and Mrs. Jennie Yetts of Des Moines, and one brother, John Bowser of Ottumwa.

The body is expected to arrive in Ottumwa Monday morning. Funeral services will be held from the home of Mrs. C.E. Parker, 114 East Highland avenue, and interment will be made in Ottumwa cemetery. The date and hour of the rites have not been announced.

The body of Mrs. Myrtle Parker, former Ottumwan who died Friday in Battle Creek, Mich. will arrive Tuesday morning and will be taken to the home of Mrs. C.E. Parker,
114 East Highland Avenue, where funeral services will be held of 2 o'clock. The Rev. L.H. Matheus will have charge of the services, and interment will be made in Ottumwa cemetery.
