The funeral for Shirley Lorene Harris Keaton, 71, of 41 Theater St., Martinsville, who died April 8, 2008, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Susan Adkins officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. She was born in Ridgeway on Nov. 21, 1936, to James W. and Betty Lou Hopkins Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Jefferson. She retired from DuPont with more than 30 years of service, and she was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a son, Donnie Montgomery of Patrick Springs; four brothers, Bill Harris and Fred Harris, both of Ridgeway, Grady Harris of Fieldale and Maynard Harris of Collinsville; four sisters, Dorothy Lane of Hampton, Chris Speizer of Cedar Grove, N.J., Sadie Duncan of Stoneville, N.C., and Carolyn Adkins of Martinsville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Interment was in Roselawn Burial Park. Pallbearers were Clay Duncan, Jimmy Duncan, Terry Harris, Travis Edwards, Franky Edwards and Bryan Montgomery.
