Killed in the crash Saturday was Larry Roscoe Jefferson, 24, of 143 Overland Ave., Martinsville. He was born July 31, 1949, to Roscoe Jefferson and Mrs. Ethel Harris Jefferson. Jefferson was employed at Oxwall Tools, New York N.Y. and a member of Fuller Memorial Baptist Church. He was a 1968 graduate of Martinsville High School and a 1972 graduate of Virginia Military Institute in Lexington. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Jefferson of Overland Avenue; two sisters, Mrs. Brenda J. Carter, and Miss Robin Michelle Jefferson of the home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James W. Harris of Ridgeway and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Jefferson, Fries. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Fuller Memorial Baptist Church with burial in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Stone Funeral Home tonight and at other times at the home of Mrs. Shirley Lorene Montgomery, 825 Keel Street.
