Directions for ordering a record copy of the latest application submitted for your patriot can be found at www.dar.org then click on "membership" and then "application paper copy requests" (on right side)

A record copy will include birth, marriage & death dates of the applicant to her Rev. War patriot. It will also list the references used, and at least one child of the patriot. Other children are often listed, but they are not verified by the genealogist checking the application. The 4th page will be information about the patriot -where he lived during the Revolution and about his service, plus the needed documentation.

If you know which of his children is also your ancestor, be sure to list that name on your order. It might take more than 8 weeks, however, to receive your order – due to the overwhelming response from this online service – and hundreds of requests received each week - which are answered in the order received.

If you, or someone in your family, would like to be contacted by a SAR or DAR chapter in your local area, please post a reply with the name, address and phone number.

Sincerely,
