Cory Wendell Allred, 57, of Pleasant Grove passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 10, 2004 of heart failure.
He was born November 2, 1946 in Sacramento, CA to Wendell and Norma Jean Hall Allred and raised by Wendell and Virginia Booth Allred.
Cory grew up in Sacramento. In 1959 the family moved to Palo Alto, California, where he graduated from Cubberley High School in 1965. He attended BYU and served in the French East Mission from 1966-1968.
He married his sweetheart, Janice (Janie) Thompson, on June 4, 1970 in the Manti Temple. He loved his family, the gospel, his country and his fellowmen. He enjoyed music, computers, BYU sports, camping, and woodworking and always wanted to go sailing.
He served in many positions in the LDS Church, including bishop of the Veneta, Oregon Ward, and especially enjoyed being the Primary chorister in his current ward until last fall.
He is survived by his extraordinary wife Janie; his nine children: Logan (Rebecca) Allred, Orem; Jennifer (Curtis) Weber, Orem; Brandon (Becky) Allred, Provo; Lori Allred, Pleasant Grove; Heidi (Spencer) Jarvis, Orem; Ryan (Crystal) Allred, Pleasant Grove; Kristi (James) Claverie, Long Beach, CA; Stephanie Allred and Holli Allred, Pleasant Grove; parents: Wendell and Virginia Allred, Provo; Norma Cornell, Hermiston, OR; brother, Kelly (Lynda) Allred, Las Cruces, NM; sister, Beverly (Eric) Royer, Orem; and nine grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
