Mattie Mae Guthrie died at age 86 in Kaiser Pemanente Medical Center of Walnut Creek.
She lived in Martinez for 22 years and Vacaville for 30 years.
She worked 16 years as a counselor at Juvenile Hall for the Probation Dept.
She was a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem and was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Martinez and Vacaville.
She was survived by her daughters, Glenda Laughlin, Dorothy Rutherford & Bennie Huff, a brother, W.L Pennington, and two sisters Lorene Kelley and Maxie Hopkins.
Graveside services were held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Concord with Pastor Greg Adkins of the First Baptist Church in Martinez officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Connoly & Taylor funeral Home in Martinez, California.
