Frances A. Burks (1927 - 2012)

Frances A. Burks, 85, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at a local assisted living facility. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday in Lucas Funeral Home Chapel, 137 E. Hill St., Keller. Dale Huff will officiate. Interment: Following the funeral service, Frances will be laid to rest in Bourland Cemetery in Keller. Visitation: Frances will lie in state at Lucas Keller Funeral Home with family receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Frances was born March 14, 1927, in Raywood, to Clinton and Daisy Worthy Entler. She married A.A. Burks on April 11, 1952, and they celebrated almost 60 years of a beautiful marriage. They moved from Farmington, N.M., to Keller in 1975. Frances retired from Halliburton's after 30 years of service. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Keller.

Survivors: Husband, A.A. Burks; sister, Patsy Bailey; nephew, Ricky Adcock and wife, Cindy; nephew, Brad Adcock; niece, Kim Huff and husband, Dale; nephew, Rowdy Adcock; great-nephew, Zachery Ybarra and wife, Halley; and great-niece, Rikki Lynn Adcock.
