HOPKINSVILLE — Grace Almeda Haddock Hill, 89, died at 6:08 a.m. May 23, 2008, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center. The Hopkinsville native was born Jan. 17, 1919. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, where she served in the choir and was the former director of the church's nursery. She was a daughter of the late Ennis Haddock and Martha Ann Hundley Haddock. She was preceded in death by a son, Ron Hill. Funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy make take the form of contributions to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, 1220 East Joppa Road, Baltimore, MD 21286. Survivors include her husband, Jewell Wilson Hill; three daughters, Sandy Bridges of Bowling Green, Martha "Cookie" Maddox of Granada Hills, Calif., and Linda Hill of Burkesville; two sisters, Virginia Clark of Pembroke and Elizabeth Lollar of Jackson, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
