John Randall Dodson married Sarah Burnett on August 25, 1816 in Wayne County, Kentucky and they had eleven sons & one daughter. They moved from Kentucky to Missouri in 1844 and settled in the Troy Mills neighborhood south of Kirksville, Mo. John along with his six younger boys, Obediah, John, Marcus, Job and Reuben all moved to Putnam & Sullivan counties. John Randall Dodson died while living in Putnam County, Mo. & was buried there but his body was later moved to the McFeron-Dodson Cemetery south of Kirksville, MO.
