Dies Monday Night

Richard Emmett Reynolds, Jr., age 44, of Lindale Rte. 1, passed away Monday night at his home. He had been ill since February, and his condition became serious a month ago.

Born in Huntsville, Ala., on January 3, 1916, Mr. Reynolds was the son o the late Mr. and Mrs. R. Emmett Reynolds Sr. He was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, the former Violet Mae Crawford; a step-daughter, Sandra Ingram, of Rome; a step-son, James Robert Melton stationed with the Air Force in Newfoundland; two brothers, Jack Reynolds and Earl Reynolds, both of Atlanta; one sister, Mrs. Agnes Bowman, of Birmingham; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the chapel of Jackson-Frazier Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. W. J. Hayes, pastor of the New Prospect Baptist Church, and the Rev. E. E. Morris, pastor of the New Armuchee Baptist Church. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery.

Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by members of the McClain-Sealock American Legion Post.

Pallbearers will be Caldwell Treglown, John White, J. D. Kirk, Lowell Welch, Buck Beard and James Morton.

The remains will lie in state at Jackson-Frazier Funeral Home until time for the services, and the family will receive friends there from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight.
