Services for James Ennis "Jim" Haddock, 85, Herndon, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Rev. John R. Christian officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens, Christian County.

He died at 8:10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

A native of Hopkinsville, he was born July 27, 1916. He was the son of the late James E. and Mattie Hundley Haddock. He was co-owner of Haddock's Grocery, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Second Baptist Church and the Hopkinsville Coon Hunters Club.

Survivors include his wife, Cora Hale Haddock; two stepsons, Bill Kemp and Robert Greenier, both of Hopkinsville; four daughters, Mrs. Jack (Bonnie) Tracy, Nashville, Tenn., Mrs. Joe (Janice) Allen, Newstead, Sue Pugh, Irvington, Ala., and Mrs. Jackie (Tina) Davis, Cerulean; a stepdaughter, Sherry Mueller, of the home; a brother, Jack Haddock, Hopkinsville; three sisters, Mrs. Jewell (Almeda) Hill, Hopkinsville, Ann Lollar, Jackson, Tenn., and Mrs. Johnny (Virginia) Clark, Pembroke; and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Haddock was a member of the Jouett Henry Chapter #8 of the Disabled American Veterans in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
