Theresa F. Bard, age 75, of Rensselaer passed away March 21, 2012 at the Rensselaer Care Center, Rensselaer, Indiana. She was born in Papineau, Illinois on March 1, 1937, the daughter of Irving and Mary Loretta (King) Reilly. Theresa was a 1955 graduate of St. Anne (Illinois) High School. Theresa lived in Donovan, Illinois and moved to Rensselaer in 1985.
A homemaker, Theresa was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church of Rensselaer and the St. Augustine Ladies Society.
On August 16, 1958, in Beaverville, Illinois Theresa married Allen Bard who survives.
Surviving with her husband Allen are three sons, Mark Bard of Danville, IL, David (Marsha) Bard of Goodland, IN and John (Lori) Bard, of Watseka, IL; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary "Jean" Fitzsimmons of Erie, PA and Delores (Tom) Fraley of Charlotte, NC. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Robert.
Friends will be received at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 4-8 P.M. Rosary services will be at 7 P.M. Sunday at the funeral chapel. Funeral mass will be held at the St. Joseph College Chapel on the campus of St. Joseph College of Rensselaer at 11 A.M. on Monday, March 26, 2012 with Fr. Don Davison officiating. Burial will be at Beaverville Cemetery, Beaverville, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association or the St. Augustine Church, Rensselaer.
