Jerry Frank Bock, 51, of Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at his residence in Bellevue.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Shelby, with Father John Rooney officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in David City.
Dubas Funeral Home, of Osceola and Stromsburg, has been entrusted with arrangements.
Jerry was born Jan. 13, 1961, to Donald F. and Joan Marie (Kobza) Bock in Osceola. He attended school in Shelby and graduated from Shelby High School in 1979.
On June 10, 1989, he was united in marriage to Rachelle Ingalls at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church in Omaha. To this union two children were born.
Jerry was employed at United Farmers Coop, in Shelby, and then moved to Omaha to manage an elevator for the coop. He then worked at Lyman-Richey Concrete Company as plant superintendent for 13 years. They later moved to Murray, where he resided for 10 years before moving to Bellevue for the past two years, where he lived until his passing.
He was a member of the South Omaha American Legion Post. He especially enjoyed his children and attending their events and hunting.
Survivors include his former wife, Rachelle, and two children, Neil and Alexa Bock, all of Beaver Lake; brother, Mike (Kathy) Bock, of Columbus; sisters, Patty (Randy) Kelly, of Shelby, and Marsha (Mark) Newcomer, of Stromsburg; three nephews; three nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Joan Bock; and nephew, Blake Kelly.
Memorials are suggested to the family in lieu of flowers.
