SOURCE: Helena Independent RecordGeorgia May TeichrowPosted: 05/05/04 Georgia May (Taylor) Teichrow, 88, of Great Falls, a homemaker, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2004, at her residence from cancer.She was born on Oct. 23, 1915, in Glasgow to Grover Muncie and Estella May (Wingard) Taylor. She was raised and educated in Glasgow, graduating from high school there and attending college in Kansas for a time. She married Orville James Teichrow on Jan. 2, 1935.Georgia was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Great Falls, singing in the choir and serving on various church boards. She served as a Sunday school teacher, youth leader and leader at the national level of the American Baptist Women's Mission and leader of Templed Hills Baptist Camp. She was also active in Christian Women's Club, Rainbow Garden Club, Tuesday Music Club and Christian Women United. She enjoyed sewing, music, gardening, travel and spending time with family.Georgia is survived by her daughters, Darlene (David) Duncan of Spokane, Wash., LeIsla (Jack) Crocker of Great Falls, Shirley (Kenneth) Gue of Great Falls; son Terry (Anita) Teichrow of Helena; brother Warren Taylor of Havre, as well as 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville James Teichrow, on Oct. 15, 1993; parents Grover and Estella Taylor; grandson Brian Keith Gue; brothers Ralph Taylor, Jim Taylor, Glenn Taylor, Muncie Taylor and Robert Taylor, and a sister, Merel Taylor.Visitation will be Thursday, May 6, from noon until 5 p.m. and Friday, May 7, from 10 am until 9 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home. A private family burial will be at Manchester Cemetery and a celebration of life will be held at The First Baptist Church, 525 2nd Ave. N., in Great Falls on Saturday, May 8, at 1 p.m. The family suggests memorials to the Teichrow Family Memorial Project Fund, Temple Hills Baptist Camp, P.O. Box 23576, Billings, MT 59104.
