DAISY A. ALLEN, daughter of A.S. ALLEN and E. ALLEN, was born September 13, 1873 and died in Dana, Vermillion County, IN February 9, 1901. She was afflicted with the much dreaded disease, consumption, and was in a decline of health for more than 2 years, but in all her sickness she was heroic; was for the most part patient and resigned. She was highly respected in the community and leaves many friends to mourn her loss. She united with the M.E. Church when a little girl 13 years of age, and was faithful and devoted to the end. She was ready and anxious to go. She leaves a mother, brother, sister, and step-father to mourn her loss. Her funeral was attended from the family residence Saturday afternoon, after which the body was taken to Carmago Douglas Co, IL, for burial.
