(1866 - 1954)

Joseph Pekarske (sic), 88, of Northeim, retired farmer, died Saturday at his home, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Leschke Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim. The Rev. L. L. Lisowski will officiate and burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

He was born in Poland in 1866 and in 1888 came to Newton. In 1894 he married Miss Monica Leschke. They located on a farm in the town. He was a member of the Holy Name Society.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, John J. of Manitowoc and Max of Northeim; a foster son, Harry Masiak of Northeim; two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Bonk of Milwaukee and Mrs. K. C. Westell of Indianapolis; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 pm. Monday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
