Charles Lloyd Jordan, 89, of Idaho Falls, died August 5, 1989 at Valley Care Center in Idaho Falls, of causes incident to age.

He was February 21, 1900, to Joseph Jordan and Thirza Nowlin Jordan in Milo where he was raised. He graduated from Rigby High School and later attended the University of Idaho. He served in the Army of Occupation immediately following World War I for three years in Koblenz, Germany.

On May 22, 1929, he married Louesa "Louie" Redd in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

He worked as a bookkeeper for Silver Kings Mine in Park City, Utah, before moving to Milo where he farmed for thirty three years. He retired in 1964 and they moved to Salt Lake City. They returned to Idaho Falls in April of 1989.

He served as secretary of the Harrison Canal Company for many years and President of the Ucon Elementary PTA.

He was an active member of the LDS Church and served a mission to the North Central Stated from 1929 to 1931.

He is survived by his wife of Idaho Falls; three daughters, Louesa (Leo) Gaitan of Menan, Ruth (Douglas) Rose of McLean, Virgina and Thirza (Steven) McClaskey of Idaho Falls; a son, Paul Jordan of Ammon; a sister, Maurice Clay of bountiful, Utah; a brother, Morris Jordan of Milo; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He proceeded in death by his parents and one sister.

He was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery.
