Benjamin Byron Jackson, 86, died in his home in Woodland early Friday. Jackson's father crossed the plains in 1852. the deceased was born in Yolo County and farmed southwest of Woodland until his retirement 11 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Cleo, and a daughter, Mrs. Fay VanNorden of San Francisco.
Funeral services will be held in Kraft Brothers Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery.
