He moved to Inyokern in the late 1960s and worked as a handyman to the Homestead Restaurant for 20 years. He became a resident of Beverly Manor in the early 1990s.
Mr. Anderson was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He was a tenor soloist in the church choir into his late 80s.
Presentations of Handel's "Messiah" were a big part of his yearly activites well into his late 80's.
He also wrote stories and poetry.
Mr. Anderson was one of the few people to have viewed Halley's Comet twice.
He is survived by several generations of nieces and nephews.
