Alvina M. Sukowaty, 93, formerly of 109 Church St., St. Nazianz, died Jan. 6, 1996, at the Calumet Homestead Rehabilitation Center, New Holstein, where she resided for last 2 ½ years.
She was the former Alvina Escher, born Nov. 15, 1902, in Marytown, the daughter of the late Peter and Catherine (Burg) Escher.
On Oct. 16, 1923, she married George Sukowaty. He preceded her in death in 1963.
She was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz.
Survivors include one sister, Irene Escher of New Holstein, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Julia Baer and Viola Krupp.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
