Mary Ann Spotts nee Casey was born to Bernard and Sarah Jane Casey (nee Kitts) on May 16th, 1891 in Earling, Iowa, she was the fourth of 6 children. The family were farmers and lived in Iowa, Nebraska and finally in Kennebec, SD. On November 25th, 1915 she married Charles Spotts in Kennebec, SD.
they moved to Montana and later to San Francisco where they lived for 21 years. They then lived in Eugene, Oregon for another 21 years before moving to Port Orchard in 1976.
Mrs. Spotts enjoyed dancing, gardening and needlework. She is survived by her husband; four sons, Vincent of Port Orchard, Charles of Grass Valley, California, Kenneth of Yuma, Arizona, and Robert of Gales Creek, Oregon; and a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Matsler of Harrisburg, Oregon, a sister Mrs. Margaret Beumer of Rock Valley, IA; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grand-children. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10a.m. Wednesday at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Port Orchard with Burial at Sunset Land Cemetery in Port Orchard.
