He served in the Marine Corps as a jet engine mechanic. After retiring from the USMC, he worked as an electric motor specialist for Acme Markets, and Tri State Service Corporation. He was an active member of the "Liberty Bell Chapter" of the 1st Marine Division Association, American Legion Post 960, National Rifle Association, board member of the Falls Township Rifle and Pistol Association, Co-Captain of Delaware Valley Pistol League, a former member of the Cross Trailers Club, Dudes and Dolls Square Dancing Club, and Webelos Leader for Pack 116.
