William C. "Andy" Anderson, 78, Goodman, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 1998 at his home after a sudden illness.
Mr. Anderson was born March 23, 1920 at Decatur, Illinois. He moved to the Goodman area in 1977 from Grove, Oklahoma. He was a truck driver, retiring from Santa Fe Truck Lines, Joplin. He was a member of McNatt Baptist Church, Goodman. He was a member and former commander of Goodman American Legion Post No. 479.
He married Lucile Garren on May 27, 1975. She survives.
Additional survivors include three sons, Ellick Garren and Junior Garren, both of Stella, and Loren Garren, Goodman; three daughters, Genea Tichenor, Wheaton, Luann Jones, Neosho and Cloetta Bradey, Stella; 22 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McNatt Baptist Church The Rev. David Mullin will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Stella.
Pallbearers will be Lee Rainwater, Denzil Ball, John Chester, John Sarratt, Doyle Clement and Clarance Nalley.
Honorary pallbearers are Jay Strickland, Elmer Studdard and Ed Haddock.
