Wayne S. "Pop" Ishmael, age 81, of Cedar Lake, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at his home.
Survived by his wife, Celvia; children: Charles (Evelyn) Ishmael of Lowell, Margaret Valois of Crown Point, Carolyn (Jerry) Baacke of Cedar Lake, Donna Kramer of Cedar Lake and Doris (George) Handley of Crown Point; grandchildren: Charles, Mandy, Debbie, Joe, Chris, Carey, Michael, Brian, Kathrine, Greg, Karen, Larry, Janis, Theresa and Sherry; great-grandchildren: Amanda, Joey, Stephanie, Rachel, Michael, Wyatt, Zachary, Kylee, Gared, Brent, Nicholas, Brandon and Jacob; sister: Helen Kenworthy of West Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 26, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. John Wasem officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville.
Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, July 25th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. (one mile south of Rt 30), Schererville, IN.
Wayne was retired from Inland Steel. He was a member of the Cedar Lake American Legion Post 261, employed by the Monestary Golf Course, member of the Crown Point Masonic Lodge #157 and he was an Army Veteran.
