Son of Julius Brown and Esther Waldman, husband of Mary McDonald Souhrada, the daughter of Edward McDonald and Frances Barbara, whom he married on October 13, 1949, in Richmond, Virginia, and father of Jody, Jonathan, Josh, Jamie, Jeraldine and Joyce. Brother of Minnie (married Julius W Weinberg), John, Phylis "Shelly" (married Sherman Seitz), Gertrude, and Frances Brown (married Singer).

In 1920, Gerold Brown, aged 7, was living on Webster Avenue, Bronx, New York, in the home of his parents, Julius Brown, aged 43, a phonograph salesman, and Esther Brown, aged 41, with siblings, Minnie Brown, aged 19, John Brown, aged 16, Shelly Brown, aged 14, Gertrude Brown, aged 9, and Frances Brown, aged 3.

In 1930, Gerald Brown, aged 17, an office boy for a book publisher, born in Australia, was living at 41-21 17th Street, Queens, New York, in the home of his parents, Julius Brown, aged 52, a salesman for the radio industry, born in Poland, and Ester Brown, aged 51, born in Austria, with siblings, John Brown, aged 25, born in England, the director of a social center, Phylis Brown, aged 23, a clerk for a tire company, Gertrude Brown, aged 19, born in England, a stenographer for a department store, and Frances Brown, aged 13, born in New York.

In 1940, Gerald Brown, aged 26, a mechanic at an airport, born in Australia, was living on 95th Street, Queens, New York, in the home of his widowed mother, Esther Brown, aged 60, born in Poland, with his siblings, Geraldine Brown, aged 28, a secretary doing social work, and Frances Brown, aged 24, a secretary for a retail store.

Obituary - Gerald Brown of Cleary Road, Lake Ronkonkoma, died suddenly Tuesday at Brookhaven
Memorial Hospital. He was 56. Mr. Brown was a member and past Master of the Connetquot Lodge. He was a past president of the Ronkonkoma Lions Club, a member of the Sachem School Board, a member of the N.Y. Explorers Club, the Lakeland Fire Dept., past president of the Medical Unit of the Lakeland Fire House, and the head of the Rose Croix Line and Valley of Rockville Centre. He is survived by his wife, May; four sons, Jody, Johnathan, Josh, and Jamie; two daughters, Jeraldine and Joyce and four sisters. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon at the F. Daniel Moloney Funeral Home in Lake Ronkonkoma. The Rev. Frederick More of the Ronkonkoma Methodist Church will officiate, and interment will follow in the Ronkonkoma Cemetery.
