Born to James Henry Alexander (1840-1921) & Martha Renfro Alexander (1847-1903).

Nellie married James Wiley Dodd (4/1874-1940 in Oklahoma City, OK) in 1899 after the death of his first wife, Mary Eliza Alexander Dodd (1874-1898), Nellie's sister.

Five children:
• Nettie Mae Dodd Jung (1904-1990)
• Irvin W. Dodd (1905-after 1976 in Midland?)
• Eva Pearl Dodd (1908-?)
• Verona Dodd (9/1909-?)
• Donald Dodd (1912-1983)

In 1900, James & Nellie were living in Milam County, TX, with Curtis Francis Dodd (7/26/1895-1/7/1965 in Los Angeles) & James Dodd (1/1898-before 1910), the two children of Nellie's sister, Mary Eliza.

By 1910, they were living in El Campo, Wharton County, TX, with their four children & Curtis.

After Nellie died, James Dodd married Bertha Woods. In 1920 they were in Tiger, Okmulgee County, OK, then in 1930 were in Borger, Hutchinson County, TX.
