Rose and William had 8 children, 1. Rosetta, 2.Catherine Maudabelle Bridget 3. Thomas Martin, 4. Howard Joseph (Ruth), 5.William Jr. 6. Viola, 7. Julia 8. Ora Helen. I'm not sure if Rose and Wm ever formally divorced. He left her and never contacted the family ever again. Rose tried to locate him and could not find him. She raised the family alone. He had a brother Dennis and sister Kate, who contacted the family upon his death, but after it was too late to get to the funeral in Grand Rapids, MI. The family drove from Milwaukee to Grand Rapids, but everything was over by the time of their arrival. His death certificate lists him as a widower, which was not true, he very much had a family back in Milwaukee, WI. He was a white male, but buried from a black funeral home and was living in a rooming house. He was 70 years, 3 months, 17 days old. He was our father and grandfather. We never knew him.
