Orrin Elwood McBride 12, son of Jacob and & Clarabelle McBride was born April 13, 1894 near Nevada in Story County, Iowa.

He has always lived with his parents, and moved with them about 1 year ago, to their present home east of town.

Here about 3 weeks ago he took sick with the measles, this terminated in that dread disease pneumonia, which hastened the time of his departure. He was a patient sufferer, and though all was done that could be done by human aid, it did not avail, but on Saturday night about 11:30 March 23 he succumbed.

He died peacefully, leaving his father, mother, 5 brothers, 4 sisters, 1 grandmother and host of friends, to mourn, but not as much as such who have no hope may God bless and comfort the bereaved. Orin was a faithful and beloved member of Anna Barnard's Sunday School class.

All who know him learned love him, and though we mourn. we beleive him to be in a better home. May there be a glad reunion sometime, where there will be no more parting.
