FINAL RITES FOR GRACE DARNELL
Funeral services for Grace B. Darnell were held Saturday, March 1, 1969 at 10:30 a.m. from the Methodist Church, Clergyman was Rev. Fred C. Rowley.
William Repass, Fred Bryson, Fred Lamken, Howard Cooney, Vern Lewis and Paul Stafford were pall bearers.
Flower bearers were Sylvia Enarson and Edith Lewis.
Andrea Higgins accompanied Annabell White, presented the music selections “In The Garden” and “Sweet Hour Of Prayer.”
Concluding the services were held at the Villisca Cemetery with Sutphen Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
OBITUARY
Grace Bell Darnell, daughter of Marvin Robert sand Mary Etta Cooper, was born October 19, 1887 and died at Highland Acres in Red Oak, Iowa, February 26, 1969, at the age of 81 years, 4 months, and 7 days.
Mrs. Darnell was married to Albert H. Darnell March 6, 1918 in Omaha, Nebraska. He preceded her in death, September 24, 1965.
She is survived by three nieces, Mrs. Eva Goldsmith of Omaha, Nebraska, Mrs. Mona Matthews of ElMonte, California, and Joan Jones of Omaha, Nebraska; three nephews, John Bakke of Omaha, Joe Goudsmith, Omaha, and Marvin Chase of Baldwin Park, California.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. She was a member of the Villisca United Methodist Church.

Grace Belle Roberts, born Oct. 19, 1887 in Montgomery Co., Iowa; died in Montgomery Co., Ia, first husband, Samuel W. Barker. Her parents were Marvin Moses and Mary Etta (Cooper) Roberts, and they are also buried at Villisca, but no memorials/numbers for them.
