Marion Filliez slept away on Saturday, March 24, 2012, after a day of family surrounding her bed. She was 88 years old. Born Oct. 9, 1923, to Charles and Libby Slaby in the Town of Casco. She married Stanley Filliez on June 12, 1949. They made their home in Two Rivers, where she worked at Becker's Meats. Stanley preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1972. Marion was a member of the Rosary Society, the VFW Auxiliary, Kewaunee Senior Center, Holy Rosary Parish where she ushered and 75 year member of the WFLA Lodge #365 in Kewaunee.

Marion is survived by her brother, Carl Slaby; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Arnold and Donna Filliez; nieces, Lynn (William) Zarn, Mary Matte, Susan (Eugene) Posvic, Betty Schuette, Jane Barnes, Mary (Harvey) Paplham, Carla (Joe) Raisleger, Jeane (Keith) Dahlke; and nephews, Carl (Mary Lou) Pfefferkorn, Dennis (Bonnie) Slaby, Ron (Shelley) Slaby, Joe (Helen) Jacobs and many great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in -law and sister-in-law, Wesley and Donna Pfefferkorn; sister-in-law, Marge Slaby; niece, Joyce Jacobs; nephews, Chris Matte and Gerald Schuette.

Besides her family, Marion loved her garden and playing cards. Friends may call on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, after 4 p.m. at Buchanan Funeral Home. A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. by Dcn. Robert Pribek. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday March 28, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Two Rivers
