Mary Neel was married on Jan. 31, 1811 in Butler Co., Kentucky to Samuel Hutcheson, son of William Hutcheson and Margaret Clendennon of Ireland, who were early settlers arriving in the Richelieu area in about 1796.
Samuel and Mary Neel Hutcheson lived on 80 acres of land. that was originally owned by Samuel's father, William. In 1823, Samuel built their family home, an Irish rock house on the 80 acres of land. Sadly, Mary passed away, sometime before November of 1834, when widower, Samuel was remarried. Mary Neel Hutcheson was laid to rest in a small family cemetery, located behind their 1823 Irish Rock house.

Samuel was remarried on Nov 19, 1834 in Logan Co., KY. to Mary "Polly" W. Ely. When Samuel passed away, he was laid to rest next to his 1st wife, Mary Neel, in their small family cemetery, behind the 1823 Irish Rock house, which no longer is standing today.
