Funeral Services to Be at Elks Club; Masons Will Preside At Burial
________________
Elks Lodge funeral rites and burial services of the Masonic Order will be accorded William L. Anderson, 44, Bakersfield business man who died yesterday of injuries received a week
ago in an automobile accident on the Kernville-Fairview road.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Elks Club at 3 p.m. tomorrow and will be followed with services in the Masonic plot at Union Cemetery by officers of Bakersfield Lodge No.
224, F & A.M., of which Earl Smythe is worshipful master. Arrangements will be under the direction of Bakersfield
Funeral Home, where the body now lies in state.
Pallbearers Named, all officers of Kern unit of the California Highway Patrol, will be Paul McCune, Rex Hunter, Kenneth Ward, Cecil Hampton, Harold Nichols and Tobe Cook.Mr. Anderson, a native of Mobita, Texas, was widely known in Kern county, having been in the garage business for 12 years, and prior to that time a railroad telegraph operator at Woodford. For seven years, he had owned Southern Garage in this city, after coming here from Woodford where he also operated a garage.
Leaves Widow, Son.In addition to a widow, Mrs. Leah Anderson, he is survived by a son, William A. Anderson; two brothers, Nola O. Anderson of Santa Paula, and L.B. Anderson of Vernal, Utah, and two sisters, Mrs. Louisa A. Williams and Mrs. Lillian Daines, both of Los Angeles.
He was a member of Bakersfield Lodge No. 266, B.P.O.E.: Bakersfield Lodge, No. 224, F. & A. M. and the Pyramid of Scots.
