SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Vera L. Stansberry, 94, of South Sioux City passed away Friday, March 23, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at River Hills Church in South Sioux City, with the Rev. Kevin Roach and the Rev. Janell Norton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Vera was born on March 1, 1918, in Walthill, Neb., the daughter of Charles F. and Sula B. (Roberts) Stansberry. She was employed as a housekeeping supervisor for St. Luke's Regional Medical Center.

She was a member of Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two brothers, Roy Stansberry of Sioux City, and Charles and his wife, Dorothy Stansberry of South Sioux City; and three sisters, Thelma Queen of South Sioux City and Midge and her husband, Truman Griggs and Pat Beach, all of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Morris and Gale; and six sisters, Joan, Eadith, Lela, Eunice, Norma and Erma.

Pallbearers will be Gerard Doyle, James Wagner, Ken Moore, Roger Hanner, Mark Horan and Terry Raub.
