Shawn Joseph Sandoval, age 25, of Sioux Falls, SD died Friday January 26, 2007 of an apparent heart attack at his home in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday January 31, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell, with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church with a prayer service beginning at 7 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel.
Shawn Joseph Sandoval, son of Mark James and Lori (Walkington) Sandoval, was born October 13, 1981 in Reno, NV. He grew up in Overton, NV and was involved in sporting and community activities. Shawn graduated in 2000 from Moapa Valley High School in Overton, NV. Shawn continued his education at Dakota Wesleyan University, and graduated in 2004 with a Degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Business. While at DWU, Shawn played baseball for the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers and also for University Physical Therapy Baseball Team. After completing his degree, Shawn was employed at the Abbott House.
Shawn was united in marriage with Tara Miiller, on December 31, 2005 in Mitchell, SD. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls, SD where Shawn was currently employed at Wells Fargo Financial.
In his sparetime, Shawn enjoyed playing baseball, hunting, fishing, camping and other outdoor activities.
