He was born July 6, 1984, at Indianapolis, to James S. and Sharolyn Hicks Ackelmire of Monrovia.
He was a lifelong resident of Monrovia and a 2002 graduate of Monrovia High School and attended Monrovia United Methodist Church. J.C. enjoyed being in the outdoors.
He is survived by his parents of Monrovia; grandparents, Carl and Delores Hicks of Perrysville; uncles, Larry (Sheila) Hicks and Randy (Kay) Hicks of Perrysville; and an aunt, Sandra (Joe) Rigsby of West Bloomfield, Mich.; and several cousins. His paternal grandparents preceded him in death.
