E. Miles Brown of Riverton, born Sept. 27, 1917, was called home on Sunday, March 25, 2012 with his family by his side.

Miles, also known as Brownie or W2PAU, graduated with honors from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1939. A brilliant, well-respected electrical engineer, he worked for RCA, NASA and MITRE, traveling worldwide and spent a year in France with his family.

An active member of the South Jersey Radio Association, Miles served as club president inspiring many. Miles is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirleyanne, and their son, Edwin Miles Brown III.

He is survived by his children: Elizabeth Behler (Gary), Susan Mullen (Gerald), Lucy Reed (Mark), Charles Brown, and Juliette Brown; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 31 with services at 2 p.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 4th and Lippincott Avenues in Riverton, N.J.
