After a long illness, Nancy Jane Perrine died Sunday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Glen Gould, with whom she had lived since she had become almost helpless. Funeral services were held Tuesday, and burial was made in Grandview Cemetery. Her maiden name was Nancy Jane May, and she was born July 26, 1835, at Shoustown, Pennsylvania. She married August 1, 1850, to Peter Perrine, who died about 18 years ago.
Fifteen children were born to them, three of whom are dead; John W., Miriam and Samuel L. The living children are; David and Harry Perrine, of Carrollton; Frank and Hugh, of Lorain; Stephen, of Big Timber; Alex of Kent; George of Traverse City, Michigan; Mesdames Mary Conaway, Harriet Gould and Sarah Jane Stemple, of Carrollton; Annie Conaway, of Scio; Clara Belle Thompson, of Canton. There are 27 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Nancy Jane Perrine, relict (widow) of the late Peter Perrine, died of the infirmities of age, February 29, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Glen Gould, 64 Fourth Street, SE. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. J. H. Butler, assisted by Rev. K. J. Stewart, were held on March 2. Burial was made in Grandview cemetery.
The deceased was born in Shantstown, Pa., July 26, 1835, her maiden name being Nancy Jane May. She was married to Peter Perrine at Frankfort, Pa., August 1, 1850. The following year they moved to a farm near Palermo, and at different times lived at Palermo, Leesville, New Hagerstown, Bowerston and Carrollton. Her husband was a member of the 78th Pennsylvania Regiment in the Civil War and participated in Sherman's famous march "from Atlanta to the sea." He died May 22, 1902, at Carrollton, since which time Mrs. Perrine made her home with her children.
Mrs. Perrine was the mother of 15 children, 12 of whom survive; Harry and David T. of Carrollton, Frank and Hugh of Lorain, Stephen of Big Timber, Montana, Alex of Kent, George of Traverse City, Michigan, Mrs. Mary Conoway, Mrs. Harriet Gould, and Mrs. Sara Jane Stemple of Carrollton, Mrs. Annie Conoway of Scio, and Mrs. Clara Belle Thompson of Canton. Surviving also are 27 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and a half-brother, George Kincade of Bowerston.
