Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Alvord with Bill Cleveland officiating.
Burial will follow at Sanger Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 til' 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Dean was born July 15, 1929 to Joseph Cephus and Annie Lee (Philpott) Spindle in Valley View, Texas. She graduated from Valley View High School and married Charles Franklin "Frank" Odom on October 3, 1947 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Dean worked for Tom Thumb and Minyard's Grocery Store in Arlington and in Grand Prairie as an office clerk for many years. She enjoyed working out in her yard, planting flowers, and caring for her horses.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Annie Spindle; husband, Frank Odom; two sisters, Opal Leona Ashcraft and Pearl Alice Alford; two brothers, Clifton Horace Spindle and Carl C. Spindle.
Dean is survived by her two daughters, Eva "Charlene" May and husband, Ronny of Sunset and Loretta "Carol" Carmichiel and husband, Steve of Williamstown, KY; two granddaughters, Veronica Chas Edwards and husband, Eric of Fort Worth and Tina Thomas and husband, Jim of Corydon, IN; one great-grandson, Cory Thomas of Corydon, IN; brother, Floyd Spindle of Valley View; two sisters,Ruby "Frances" Helton of Everman and Joann Belz of Valley View; and numerous nieces and nephews.
