Mrs. Edith Goen Buried Saturday
Following an illness of two months, Mrs. Edith LaVerne Goen, 29, died at her home at Sparksville Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock.
Mrs. Goen, daughter of Houston and Mary E. Wheeler Shoults, was born in Washington County May 14, 1924. On October 31, 1941, she was married at Brownstown to Hershel Goen, who survives.
Surviving besides the parents and husband are five children: Ladonna J., Elizabeth Jean, Darlene, Dianne and Gary Lewis Goen, all at home, and two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Lawson, of Medora rural route, and Mrs. Eldora Bowling, of Northampton, Mass.
Funeral services in charge of the Rev. Ora Davis, pastor at Sparksville and Dixon Chapel, were conducted at Dixon Chapel Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Burial in the Dixon Chapel Cemetery.
