OBITUARY:

Marjorie Ellen Hoover was born to Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Mowery in Oklahoma City, Okla., on Nov. 13, 1921, and departed this life Aug. 26, 1949, at the Lawrence Memorial hospital at Lawrence, Kans. Marjorie spent most of her childhood in Leavenworth, Kans., where she was a member of the St. Pauls Episcopal church. Being graduated from the Leavenworth high school in 1938 she attended Kansas City Western Dental college and was graduated as a dental technician. Marjorie Ellen was married to Bennett Edward Hoover on Jan. 25, 1942, at the First Christian Church in Kansas City. To this marriage was born two sons: John Martin, March 25, 1945, and Henry Christian, June 27, 1949. This family made their home in Sunflower, Kans., where they lived at the time of Bennett's and Marjorie's deaths.

Bennett and Marjorie leave to mourn their departure their two sons, …parents of Marjorie, Mrs. *Ellen Martin and C.F. Mowery and a brother, Sgt. William E. Mowrey and besides these, many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Hoover were held Monday was 2:30 p.m. in the Peacock & Soice chapel, Rev. Masson in charge. Burial in Stafford cemetery.

*Marjorie's mother was Ellen Gertrude Steele, who passed away in 1995. Her maternal grandparents can be found on FAG memorial ID# 133435204 and ID# 5066554. Her brother William Earl Mowery passed away in 2002.
