He was born in Mount Auburn on Feb. 25, 1901, the son of Harry and Ella Greer Bottrell.
A retired farmer
Mr. Bottrell was a 50-year member of the United Methodist Church in Illiopolis, where he still was teaching a Sunday school class at the time of his death.
Surviving are his wife, Lucille; one son, Glenn of rural Elkhart; one daughter, Mrs. Allen (Lois) Bennett of Dawson; and one brother, Donald of Mount Auburn.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Illiopolis, with the Rev. Robert Rosebraugh officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
