Hiram Miles Brown was born in Erie Pennsylvania, on July 16, 1831 and died on July 15 1918 at Vassar, Michigan. He married Lavina Warren in 1863 in Erie Pennsylvania. Both are buried in Vassar Cemetery. To this union were born four children, the first, Billy, died as a small child. Second was Phila Elizabeth ( Libby ) , born Jan 16, 1858 and died June 27, 1926, married Zacharris Taylor and they had four children. " Lib " later married Eliza McPherson and lived in Mayville until her death.
