Clydia was reared in Plain Dealing, LA and educated in its public schools. At an early age Clydia professed her hope in Christ and was baptized.
She later moved to California where she met and married the "love of her life" Rayfield Blodger. Clydia continued her education and became a teletype operator for Western Union from which she retired in the early 1970s. Clydia later worked as a private duty nurse until early 2000s.
Clydia joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. W. A. Holly. She was active in the Mission Board, Sunday School and also served as president of the Deacon Wives. Clydia attended church regularly until her health failed.
Clydia was preceded in death in 2008 by her husband of 52 years, Rayfield Blodger. She leaves to cherish her memory, her four Children: Linda Jones (Ira), Renee Harralson (William), Gary and Darryl Blodger. 15 grandchildren: Anthony, Brian, Aron (Ebony), Andre, Jason, Darryl, Jr. (Mary), Patrice, Monique, Dezmond Shanetta, Reyna, David, Anyla, Gerald, Iketa and Rachel; 13 great grandchildren: Xavier, Devon, Donavon, Arquise, Jada, Zaraiah, Bryon, Solomon, Nile, Naim, Namir, Anyla and Amare. One sister, Ann Stromile, one brother, Wylie Ford, and many sister-in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, Godchildren, relatives and friends
Clydia loved her family and will be sorely missed.
