Arden C. Kennedy, 60, of 902 Seneca St., NE, died Sunday afternoon in Massillon Community Hospital where he had been a patient. His death followed a long illness.

He was born in Massillon and was a lifelong resident. In 1990, he retired as truck driver for the city of Massillon after 35 years of service. He served in the U. S. Army and was a member of Massillon Eagles 190.

Surviving are his wife, Janetlee J. Kennedy; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Peggy Ann) Gallegos of Pittsboro, Ind., Mrs. Jeff (Catherine J.) Kunkel of Massillon and Pamela Kay Bixby of Brewster; a son, Ken Kennedy of Massillon; his mother, Maude Martin of Navarre; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Owenah) Hollinger of Navarre; a brother, Francis "Frank" Kennedy of Tennessee; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mearl Kennedy.

Arrangements are pending at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home.

The funeral of Arden C. Kennedy, 60, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.

Mr. Kennedy of 902 Seneca St., NE, died Sunday afternoon in Massillon Community Hospital, where he was a patient.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight and during the hour before the service Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held by the Eagles 190 at 6:45 tonight.

Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by his father, Mearl Kennedy, and two infant granddaughters.
